From Treport to Le Havre, passing through Quiberville, in Seine-Maritime the Vélomaritime® unfolds a cycling route along the coastline of the English Channel. It offers a mosaic of exceptional viewpoints.

A hilly route

and mainly on shared lanes

The bike route crisscrosses the coastline from valley to valley which makes it quite a sporty route!

We are not in the mountains here, but from Brittany to the Hauts-de-France, the stages have quite significant cumulative elevation changes and especially on the Côte d’Albâtre. But don’t forget: after the climb, the descent!”

You will pass through the Scie and Saâne valleys in particular, with well-preserved landscapes. You will encounter multiple panoramas, from the sumptuous chalk cliffs, to the small country roads running along the fields as far as the eye can see. You will see the meandering streams and small rivers, Norman cows grazing in the orchards, a grey heron taking flight as you approach, … beautiful moments to be experienced in all simplicity!

Practical information

Beware, here there are no lanes solely dedicated to bicycles but small, quiet roads that cross breathtaking landscapes, with a few inevitable hills.

PRATICAL
It is a rather sporty route overall but accessible to any cyclist in good physical condition. It is not a bike path but a selection of roads, with some very busy portions, offering tourists on bikes the best possible traffic conditions in order to be as close to the coast as possible.
