I have chosen to present you the loop 21 starting from Val-de-Saâne because it is very pleasant by the diversity of its landscapes and its heritage. You will walk along several paths in the undergrowth, in the valley of the Saâne and will discover during this walk the Saint-Sulpice Fountain of Varvannes, the Castle of Imbleville, the churches of Varvannes and Eurville.

Your background

I’ll take you?

The hike starts at Place Jehan Le Povremoyne, next to the Tortillard Library.

Starting at Place Jehan le Povremoyne, next to the Val-de-Saâne Library, housed in the old Tortillard station, you will head towards the Friends of Nature trail towards Varvannes. If you are like me in search of heritage, I advise you to leave the loop to visit the church of La Fontelaye which is a little gem located in the middle of nature on the banks of the Saâne.

Follow me

After this stop, you will continue on your way still in the undergrowth, and discover the Saint-Sulpice Fountain, known to cure skin diseases.

Continue then to the church of Varvannes and take the road to the Departmental road to cross and join the springs of the traversin, a tributary of the Saâne.

Follow along and let yourself be guided, lulled by the birdsong and enjoy the magnificent view offered by the Château de la Coûture in Imbleville.

So, did you enjoy this walk?

You will be able to take some of these paths during our summer events so be sure to check out our calendar!

Happy walking!
